Video is the simplest and most powerful way to connect with your audience. It quantum leaps the know-like-trust factor as people can make an instant connection with you and feel your energy and passion. It helps them make quick decisions as they can instantly visualise working with you.
Here’s the even better news. Although social media is a great way to utilise video here are 3 very quick and simple ways to do this without even needing to hit the go-live button on any social media platform.
#1: PERSONALISED VIDEO MESSAGES
This is the number one way I make sales in my business.
Sure, an email is good. But receiving a personalised video message leaves an even greater impression. It’s a simple yet highly effective way to make you stand out from the very noisy crowd. It makes you unforgettable!
It’s also very quick and easy to do and even a 30-second or 1-minute personalised video can make a big impact.
Additionally, if you have fears of being visible on video, this is an excellent way of building your confidence on camera as you’re just talking to one person. So no need to worry about going live in front of hundreds and thousands of people.
#2: TESTIMONIAL VIDEOS :
Testimonials are a highly effective way to build trust and credibility with your audience and potential clients. Whilst written testimonials are good, video testimonials convey the power of your work so much more.
Hearing your clients speak in their own voice of their experience of working with you and the transformation they made, as a result, is potent. Potential clients can relate to your client’s story and really visualise what it would be like to work with you and what they could achieve.
You can use these testimonial videos in a multitude of ways. For example, include them on your sales pages, create blog posts out of them sharing your client’s journey or even send them to potential clients who are considering working with you.
Again, there are a variety of ways you can create testimonial videos. You could interview your client live or recorded, which is a great way for them to get in front of a new audience too. Or you could ask your client to record the video themselves and send it to you.
#3: VIDEOS ON SALES OR LANDING PAGES:
Let’s be honest, many of us are bored of the long-form sales and landing pages that take 20 minutes to read before we find out what the offer is about!
Plus writing them can feel like a chore.
So instead of spending hours, even days, writing a long sales page, you simply record a short video 5 minutes or less explaining what your offer, event, etc is about.
According to a Forbes survey, landing or sales pages that contain a video convert 86% more than written sales pages. That’s because it’s a quick and effective way for people to make an instant connection with you.
You can always add text to the sales page if you wish. But creating a short video eliminates perfectionism and procrastination and is a quick and simple way to get your sales or landing page online swiftly and effortlessly.
Video has changed my life and my business and it’s now the number way one I make sales in my business. And it can do the same for you too.

I’m happy to hear you found my tips so valuable Julie. I agree, I’m definitely not a fan of long sales pages – neither reading them nor creating them! A video is such a quick and simple way to do this. Give it a try and let me know how you get on with it.

Which one of these 3 methods will you try first?
My goal is to use video more and more throughout my business with your suggestions.
I’m thrilled to hear this was so valuable for you Patti. You’re already implementing some of these things, which is great. Very well done. I recommend introducing things slowly but surely. You don’t need to do everything at once. Perhaps commit to including more video in just one area of your business at a time. It will give you momentum and confidence. Keep me posted on how you’re doing. I look forward to seeing your progress.
